Primarily a painter, Jos often integrates materials like recycled bedsheets, curtains, wood and chewing gum into their work. These materials are ones that have been used in everyday life; chewed on, slept on and dreamt on. 

Originally from an archipelago island in Finland, they moved to London to study and have since lived and worked in London. Jos often incorporates materials from Finland, as well as London, from friends and family, exploring these materials visually in painting and sculpture while also referencing their personal and cultural histories.
